KCMT has a well-equipped laboratory with sophisticated instruments sufficient to cover all the practicals included in the B.Sc (Biotechnology) practical syllabus.
A rich collection of standard microbial culture is in store and an endeavour is made to enrich the stock and maintain it for future use. The laboratory includes all the necessary instruments like Spectrophotometer, Laminar Air Flow Chamber, Hot-Air Oven, Autoclave, Incubator, Magnetic Stirrer, Vortex Mixture, Mechanical shaker, Centrifuge, Digital pH meter & Conductivity meter, Water Distillation plant, Over-Head projector, etc.
There are number of practical covered during the session like-Biochemical Tests (Protein, carbohydrate, lipid estimation, Chromatography techniques), Molecular Biology Practical (DNA isolation, Electrophoresis), Immunology Practical (ELISA, Blood Test, Widal Test), Bioinformatics, Sterilization Techniques, Pure Culture Techniques, Plant Tissue Culture, Microbiological Experiments etc.
