About the course

KCMT has introduced M.Sc. (H.Sc.) to meet the demand of Women Development and Empowerment in the Indian context. It is a two years full time course affiliated to MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly.

Faculty of the Home Science is the site of activity where teaching, research and extension works go hand in hand in perfect union. The Faculty strives to cultivate capabilities and skills in the students for taking up challenging professions catering to societal needs to various aspects of human development, ecosystem, normal and therapeutic nutrition, food processing, textile testing, dress designing and diet therapy and family counseling. The extension activities of the faculty are diverse and help rural people in child care, processing and preservation of food, dress designing and tailoring, guiding parents and community people for behavioral problems of children and deal with social problems.

The mission is to provide education, with a commitment to high quality, value based and holistic education responsive to the needs of the society and the country.

KCMT provides 2 year M.Sc. (home Science) with specialization.

In the first year, General Home Science and in the last year student can opt one subject from the following fields –
